Read through the recipes, get all the ingredients together and have some friends around for a few cosy evening drinks this fall!

Butterscotch Old Fashioned

The butterscotch old-fashioned is a brilliant twist on a classic cocktail. It combines the vanilla and caramel taste of bourbon with some added sweetness from Steinbok Butterscotch Schnapps. You barely need any ingredients and it’s the perfect drink to sip on as you sit back in a big armchair and enjoy the warmth inside your home throughout Autumn.

Here’s the full ingredients list and step-by-step instructions:

Ingredients
  • 75 ml bourbon
  • 25 ml Steinbok Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 4 dashes of bitters
  • 3 Maraschino Cherries (leave one for a garnish)
  • Ice

Instructions
  • Step 1: Muddle the cherries and bitters together in a glass. You can use any small glass, but a rock glass or whiskey glass is the best option. When you’re adding your “dashes” of bitters, we suggest using a little pipette to put them in. We put 4 dashes in the ingredients, but feel free to use more or less depending on your tastes.
  • Step 2: Add all the remaining ingredients and stir well in the glass.
  • Step 3: Top with the remaining cherry and serve. Repeat the process for another drink and so on!

Butterball Cocktail

If you want deliciously creamy butterscotch schnapps cocktails, then look no further than a butterball. It mixes butterscotch schnapps with the intense creaminess of an Irish cream liqueur for a drink that’s delightfully warming and autumnal. To be honest, you can keep drinking this through the winter as it makes an excellent cold-weather cocktail.

Once again, you barely need any ingredients and you’ll likely have everything you need in your kitchen already!

Ingredients
  • 57 ml Steinbok Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 57 ml Irish Cream
  • 28 ml single cream
  • 28 ml milk

Instructions
  • Step 1: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, stopping halfway up.
  • Step 2: Add all of your ingredients to the shaker at the same time. Keep in mind the ingredients above are for ONE serving.
  • Step 3: Shake for at least ten seconds, being sure you secure the cap so the liquid doesn’t fly out everywhere.
  • Step 4: Pour the butterball cocktail out through a strainer into your chosen glasses. We think martini glasses work extremely well here, but you can play around with whatever glasses you like.
  • Step 5: Serve the cocktail and enjoy with an optional garnish of cocoa powder on top, if you have any lying around.

Butterscotch Vanillatini

This 3-ingredient cocktail will hit all the right spots and take you on a taste sensation. As with all of these recipes, Steinbok Butterscotch Schnapps does a lot of the heavy lifting. However, we love how throwing in some real butterscotch candies adds another layer of sweetness that’s brought together beautifully by some vanilla vodka. It’s boozy without being too boozy and is the type of cocktail you’ll love serving at fall dinner parties.

Let’s look at what you need and how you make it:

Ingredients
  • A generous handful of butterscotch candies
  • 28 ml vanilla vodka
  • 57 ml Steinbok Butterscotch Schnapps

Instructions
  • Step 1: Get your butterscotch candies and smash them into small crumbs. You can put them in a bag and hit them with a rolling pin to do this or you can blitz them up quickly in a food processor. Either way, you want a fairly fine crumb consistency.
  • Step 2: Prepare your martini glass by wetting the outer rim and then dipping it into your butterscotch crumb. It should give you a lovely even layer of butterscotch around the outside.
  • Step 3: Get a cocktail shaker and fill it halfway with ice.
  • Step 4: Add the vanilla vodka and Steinbok Butterscotch Schnapps to the mixer, then shake well for up to 30 seconds.
  • Step 5: Pour your butterscotch vanillatini through a strainer into the martini glass and enjoy.
